La garza farm

A unique high-altitude terroir,

where coffee grows in harmony with one of the last native pine forests.

Coffee Grown Among Pine Forests

Finca La Garza was acquired by Treerich with the ambition of extending and adapting the agroforestry model developed at El Jaguar. Located very close to El Jaguar, La Garza plays a key role in a reforestation project aimed at connecting existing forests and strengthening ecological corridors.

Its environment is truly exceptional: high altitude, a cool and dry climate, strong sunlight, and extremely fertile soils. These conditions allow coffee to grow in natural balance, with little to no need for fertilizers and reduced fungal pressure.

A Unique Ecosystem

The farm stands out for its native pine forests, an ecosystem that has become extremely rare. This is one of the last places in Central and South America where these pine forests can still be observed in a near-original state.

A significant portion of the estate is intentionally kept under strict conservation: an intact forest surrounds the coffee plots, fostering biodiversity, regulating the microclimate, and protecting the soil.

Coffee varieties

At La Garza, coffee is still in its early stages. Young plants are growing under pine forests, carefully selected for their long-term quality and their ability to thrive in this unique high-altitude ecosystem.

Varieties such as Bourbon Rosado, Geisha, Casiopea, Mundo Maya, Ethiosar, arara, SL28 have been planted with patience in mind — shaping the character of the coffees that will define La Garza in the years to come.

La Garza is a long-term project.

By investing early in forests, soil and young coffee plants,

Treerich is shaping the future of high-quality, sustainable coffees.
